On July 6, 2021 CTE NEXT - the House of Emerging Technologies of Turin was officially inaugurated with the ribbon cutting by the Mayor of Turin Chiara Appendino in the presence of the Councillor Marco Pironti and representatives of all the realities that made the project possible, in the spaces of CSI NEXT in Corso Unione Sovietica 214 in Turin.
Over 200 participants connected online on the Webex platform of Cisco Italy.
During the event was described the birth of the project CTE NEXT, formally launched in March 2021, which led the City of Turin, was admitted to funding (ranking first among the 5 cities awarded in Italy) by the Ministry of Economic Development (FSC funds) as part of the Emerging Technologies Programme in December 2020.
The strength of CTE NEXT is the partnership - broad, multi-stakeholder, public and private with different experiences and assets in transversal and vertical sectors - able to support companies, the first 'customers' of the CTE, in a structured accompanying process aimed at the creation of innovative enterprise, the acceleration of start-upsup, technology and skills transfer to Smes, the ultimate aim of which is to promote demonstration activities of innovative urban solutions and services ready to improve living conditions in cities.

Also on Saturday, July 10, CTE NEXT at the CSI NEXT spaces welcomed the visit of the Subsegreteria to the MISE, on. Anna Ascani, to whom the spaces were presented along with what is planned in the coming years.
The CTE NEXT project, with a duration of 4 years, will come alive after the summer when the Catalogue of services will be officially launched, the integrated offer of facilities and consulting services for startups and Smes created by partners Knowledge experts and Vertical experts active in variable geometry and according to the needs of businesses/ users for the duration of the project.
Starting in September, in fact, CTE NEXT will open several opportunities for acceleration, technology transfer and financial support to trials of innovative solutions of urban interest enabled by 5G and at least one of the emerging technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Iot, Blockchain).
Pending, in particular, the first Call4testing managed by the Municipality of Turin, according to the Torino City Lab model, the free applications of "Torino City Lab" are intended temporarily suspended. The Torino City Lab service remains active to provide more information on the opportunities provided by CTE NEXT.
