With the signing of the collaboration agreements, three of the eight experiments of circular and collaborative economy financed by the City of Torino within the AxTO Project (measure 3.02) are about to start.
The beneficiaries will receive a non-refundable grant to test their solutions in the areas identified, to assess their potential access and sustainability on the market and to verify the positive effects generated on the territory and on citizens-users.

Here are the first three projects to start:

The experimentation proposed by Izmade intends to use Open Source machines to develop new furnishing products starting from the recycling of plastic waste on a local scale: products with a pleasant and attractive look, real design objects, useful and functional. The project is based on the knowledge, tools and machines developed and continuously improved by the international community of Precious Plastic, through which it is possible to recycle objects made of thermoplastic polymers and transform them into new products, thus giving the plastic a new life cycle.
The project has as its experimental territory Barriera di Milano. Two houses in the district will be involved in the collection of used plastic: the Bagni pubblici in Via Agliè and Via Baltea / Laboratori di Barriera. There will also be a partnership with Plartwo, the Centre for Art, Innovation and Research dedicated to the design and culture of plastic, which will allow the exhibition of products and the organization of laboratories on plastic recycling. The machines will be used and made available to all users/citizens at the Izlab Maker Space workshop.

The project proposed by Emmegi aims to apply the concept of reuse and recycling in construction.
The aim is to create a new way of approaching construction, following criteria of sustainability, originality and quality, promoting the conversion of material, intellectual and manual resources towards alternative architecture and design projects. The first step of the project will be the creation of a team of re-use professionals, composed of architects, designers, companies and craftsmen. This will be followed by the identification and collection of potentially reusable materials that will be donated by citizens, companies and local craftsmen, to be then transformed and come back to life in new furniture and finishes. Throughout the course will be organized workshops and focus groups for professionals and for fans and lovers of do-it-yourself.
The final product of the experimentation will be the restyling of a room located in Via Montevideo 41, entrusted in concession by the City to the Cooperative Social Paradigma, which will host a cafeteria for members and new laboratories. Numerous partners (Paradigma Cooperativa sociale, Associazione Tablò, Casa nel Parco and Bene Comune) and professionals will contribute to the project, and the involvement of artisans, businesses and inhabitants of the Lingotto and Mirafiori Sud districts will be fundamental.

Within the framework of the "Orti Urbani Torino" system, Carlo Prelli Service proposes a pilot project to create a collaborative system for the production and consumption of vegetable products based on "hydroponic" cultivation techniques, aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of shared systems at the service of the citizen and the sustainability of "BIO" cultivation in urban areas. The area of the "Urban Gardens" in the Park of the Falchera Lakes will be the object of the intervention.
Specifically, the project will develop prototypes and test practices of circular horticulture, with the belief that the use of primary resources and the reduction of waste are key components of progress.
The realization of the project will be accompanied by dissemination activities and parallel and collateral initiatives, conveyed directly on the entire system of "Urban Gardens" of the city (training courses on the system "Hydroponics", training seminars, guided tours for students and groups of citizens), with the collaboration of the Development Committee Falchera, which together with stakeholders and local associations will be engaged in the dissemination and involvement of citizens.
