On March 22, the CTE Next disclosure event for the new Future City-themed Call4Testing was held at the OGR.

Opening the event was also the City of Turin's Councilor for Ecological and Digital Transition, Innovation, Environment, Mobility and Transport, Chiara Foglietta, who reiterated how the new Call4Testing aims to revolutionize cities (both today and in the future) through new technological tools enabled by 5G and emerging technologies.

Elena Deambrogio, CTE Next project manager, then detailed the Call4Testing in its various parts, describing, for example, its three areas of intervention:

Smart Services;

Territory management, sustainability and urban regeneration;

Culture, tourism and education.

She then introduced the three Stakeholder Challenges, which are the "urban challenges" that were conceived and presented by three CTE Next stakeholders.

Regione Piemonte - 112 Numero Unico Europeo invited attendees to evolve the 112 System for the deaf by automating the translation of written text from the 112 operator into the main international sign languages and integrating Real Time Text systems into the chat, as well as maintaining the use of self-descriptive pictograms of emergency situations and basic information.

Planet Smart City pushed for experimentation in the proptech sector: solutions, technologies and tools for innovation in processes, products, services and the market in real estate.

Iren urged companies in the room to present innovative technological solutions in the monitoring and management of urban assets and infrastructure.

Finally, Gianluca Ristorto of Mavtech srl  and Silvia Canale of Ares2t, as the "best case" of the past edition of the Smart Life-themed Call4Testing in 2022, presented their projects again, describing with excellent words the collaboration they had with the Emerging Technologies House of Turin.

Following this, the event continued in "deep-dive corners," related to each area of intervention and to the 112 Challenge, where CTE Next experts made themselves available to answer questions and doubts about the application.

In total, there were 80 participants in the event and 16 companies held a deep-dive meeting with CTE Next experts.
